Rán has a soft shape but sharp edges. She derives her name from the sea goddess who pulls shipwrecked men towards her, tends to them and gives them new life. Thus she reminds us of the eternal natural cycle which can both give and take. Rán gets us to stop and appreciate that which is priceless.
